What is a hackathon?
A hackathon is an event where developers, hackers, makers, IoT experts, and technology enthusiasts come together in teams to respond to challenges proposed by sponsoring companies. With the support of experienced mentors, participants develop hardware and software prototypes.
Who is the event for?
The event is open to developers, makers, engineers, web and mobile designers, UX and UI specialists, data scientists, startup founders, digital marketing and communication experts—and, more generally, anyone interested in the topics covered by the hackathon challenges.
Do I need to register to participate in the hackathon?
Absolutely yes. Participation is completely free. We encourage you to carefully read the Official Regulations.
Do I need a pre-formed team to participate?
It’s up to you. If you already have a team, that’s great. If you’re coming alone, you’ll be able to find teammates directly at the event. The spirit of the hackathon is also about collaboration, networking, and making new friends.
When and where will it take place?
The Big Hack 2025 will be held on June 28–29 in Naples, at the Apple Developer Academy, located in Corso Nicolangelo Protopisani 70. Check the event agenda for more details!
Can I stay overnight at the venue?
The event does not include the option to stay overnight or work at the venue after hours.
What about food and drinks?
Food and beverages will be available throughout the event.
If you have specific dietary needs, allergies, or preferences, we kindly ask you to plan accordingly.
